2020 was the year of the nurse, Florence Nightingale’s 200th birthday, and the year of the coronavirus pandemic. Nurses have been the backbone through it all, making sacrifices of their own personal health and well-being to care for COVID-19 patients, and stepping up with new innovations to improve patient care and safety for patients and providers in during the pandemic response.
