September 12, 2013
Role of Standards in Quality Measurement
Sept. 12, 2013, 2:00-3:00 PM EST
Significant efforts are underway in the U.S. to develop a unified approach to quality reporting from electronic health records. Lantana is actively involved in development and implementation of the national framework for end-to-end quality reporting. This includes the full life cycle of reporting—from quality measure development to eMeasure specification, to electronic quality reporting. Crystal Kallem, RHIA, CPHQ, will review the current state and vision for quality measurement and the role of foundational quality specifications that are requirements in Meaningful Use Stage 2. Crystal is co-chair of the HL7 Clinical Quality Information work group and director of business analysis and policy at Lantana.
