Nadine Shehab, PharmD, MPH
Nadine Shehab is a dedicated outcomes-driven senior public health and pharmacy professional, advisor, and thought leader. Nadine is a subject matter expert in national surveillance of medication-related harm with a background in clinical pharmacy and over 16 years of experience in public health, including executing national-level public-private partnerships and powerful strategic engagements, relationship building with thought leaders and subject matter experts. She has led multidisciplinary public health, informatics and clinical teams to implement solutions and collaborate across public health, regulatory, and private sector spheres to advance national patient safety policies and guidelines.
Prior to Lantana, Nadine was a senior scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP). She provided leadership in national public health surveillance for healthcare-related harm by identifying and implementing national policy directions for high-priority CDC medication safety issues and representing CDC’s public health priorities for medication safety in healthcare quality measures, standards, and guidelines and to policymakers and regulators (e.g., U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Action Plan, US Pharmacopeia (USP) Chapter <797>, CMS quality reporting programs, and The Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals).
